St. Louis police are searching for a would-be robber who botched a stickup last month at a Pizza Hut in south city.

The man walked into the restaurant at 4634 Hampton Avenue about 9:30 p.m. on November 14 and pointed a small, semi-automatic pistol at a worker, police say. He demanded money but ultimately fled without any of the cash.

The restaurant is just south of Hampton Village, near Devonshire.

Police say the suspect is in his mid 50s, about six feet tall with a goatee, mustache and a mole on his right cheek. The man also has "distinctive wrinkles on his forehead," cops say. His gun was black with a silver-colored slide.

Police ask anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
