One of the victims of a dramatic robbery in a Southhampton neighborhood bar opened fire on the suspects with his personal firearm as they fled the scene.

The incident happened Wednesday night at the Mack, 4615 Macklind Avenue. According to police, three men armed with guns entered the building and announced a robbery at about 10 p.m. The victims, thirteen in total, each relinquished their personal property, whereupon the suspects fled the scene on foot.

But one of the victims, a 44-year-old man, followed the suspects into a nearby alley. That's where one of the suspects pointed a gun at him. In fear for his life, the victim opened fire at the group, according to police. He tells investigators he is unsure if he hit anyone.

Police are still looking for the suspects. One is described as a black male with a thin build wearing a black hoodie and a green bandana over his face. Another is a black male between five foot eleven and six foot three with a muscular build, clad in a black hoodie with a blue bandana over his face. The third suspect is described only as an unknown black male.

Police ask that anyone with information about the robbery contact Crimestoppers at 1-866-371-8477. The investigation is ongoing.
