A local resident who drove their car into a Chesterfield restaurant this morning completely wasted their money on a car wash just moments prior.

KMOV reports that a car crashed through the front of Rich & Charlie's Pizza (1081 South Woods Mill Road, Chesterfield) at about 11 a.m. Monday. According to St. Louis Scanner News, the vehicle burst through the front of the building and came to a stop in the front seating area where customers wait to pick up their pizza. The driver was briefly trapped before being freed by firefighters.

A witness tells KMOV that the vehicle had been at the nearby Phillips 66 car wash immediately before the accident. In a true tragedy, the car traveled directly from its fresh new bath across the road and into the pizza joint's lobby. That's twenty bucks the driver is never getting back.

Once freed, the driver was transported to a local hospital via ambulance. No details regarding their condition have yet been released.

The weekend's winter weather resulted in nearly 900 car accidents across Missouri in recent days, and while crews have mostly cleared the roads, some patches — especially in parking lots — are still slick. It's best to be careful out there.

Like, we know Dick and Chuck make a mean pizza, but maybe slow your roll, OK?
