St. Louis Teens Take Aunt's Car on Joyride, Get Carjacked by Other Teens

Two local teens who took their aunt's car for a joyride early Monday morning got a crash course in both karma and safe St. Louis driving when they ended up getting carjacked by two other local teens.

KMOV reports that on Monday around 3 a.m., two fifteen-year-old girls took their aunt's car, a maroon 2006 Chevrolet HHR.

But after they drove to the 400 block of Blase Avenue in north St. Louis, the pair were approached by two teenage boys. They are estimated to be fourteen to fifteen years old, and they were armed with guns. According to KSDK, the girls were just sitting in the car when the boys arrived. (More experienced drivers would agree this is most unwise.)

The suspects reportedly opened the doors to the vehicle and ordered the girls to get out. When one of them fired a shot into the air, the girls quickly complied, handing over the keys before fleeing the scene.

The boys then climbed into the vehicle and drove away, proving that the only thing worse than the kind of girls who'd steal their aunt's car is the kind of boys who'd then steal it from them.

Police say there were no injuries in the incident. They do not currently have any suspects, and the investigation is ongoing.
