Watch Boiling Water Turn to Vapor in St. Louis' Hellish Polar Vortex

The weather outside is menacing humans and animals like with negative double-digit wind chill, and if the physical reality of that kind of cold isn't yet clear to you, consider this video of a cup-full of boiling water turning into a goddamn cloud of vapor the moment it touches the air.

The human body, by the way, is a water-filled sac that's covered in mostly hairless membrane and vulnerable to frostbite within minutes of encountering the frankly bullshit weather we're having.

Look at this video, courtesy of RFT reader Simon Bolster. See that cup of water? The only thing standing between us humans being similarly vaporized by this terrible cold is but a slim layer of skin.

This is not OK.

Stay safe and warm, folks. And take your dogs inside.
