St. Louis is among the ten best cities for new college graduates in 2019.

That's according to a new study from Smart Asset, which looked at data for the 108 largest cities in the U.S. with an eye toward which would be best for young people just getting started in their careers. The study looked at various metrics for affordability, job availability and fun, using only the most rigorous scientific standards, obviously.

And yeah, we crushed it! The study notes that St. Louis has both a low cost of living and a high availability of jobs — the sixteenth highest number of all cities surveyed. Locals with a bachelor's degree have ridiculously good odds of finding work; the unemployment rate for people in that category is just 2.3 percent.

But what will you do in the evenings after you're done making bank? Well, you won't just hang out in your palatial, wildly affordable penthouse unit; you can also go party with other smart young things. The study found that 17.8 percent of the St. Louis population is in its twenties. Talk about good Tinder options, y'all.

Interestingly, the study suggests St. Louis would rank even higher if we had more bars and entertainment establishments. Which is bizarre since a previous study found we're the No. 1 city for nightlife in America, and these studies don't lie! But we'd hate to have too many party people flock here and mess with our low housing costs, so let's just keep that a secret for now. We wouldn't want to mess with a good thing.
