Ex-St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger is expected to plead guilty tomorrow in federal court, according to a newly filed document.

Stenger was charged on Monday in a pay-to-play scheme, accused of using his position as the county's top executive to illegally solicit campaign donations in exchange for "favorable actions." He resigned almost immediately after the charges were unsealed.

He pleaded not guilty during a hearing on Monday, but a new court filing has set a hearing for 10:30 a.m. to allow him to change his plea.

The document doesn't reveal to which charges the former county executive will confess. He was  facing three counts of honest services bribery and mail fraud.
