Navin’s BBQ owner and pit master Chris Armstrong may be a newcomer to the St. Louis barbecue scene, but his 'cue has quickly become a favorite within the community. With a brand named as a nod to one of Armstrong’s favorite films, The Jerk, and featuring sandwiches like "The Lou," which includes Red Hot Riplet crumbs, Provel cheese and a toasted ravioli garnish, Armstrong’s sense of creativity and humor is on full display at Navin’s.

Liliana’s Italian Kitchen
    (11836 Tesson Ferry Road, 314-729-1800)
“We LOVE Liliana's! Came here on a whim one night because we wanted pizza but not Imo's (no shade)! We were NOT disappointed. First of all, love that they have a drive-up window. The only thing better than delicious pizza is delicious pizza you don't need to put a bra on to get. They also don't fry the fried stuff until you get there so it's super fresh and crispy -- the calamari is some of the best I've ever had (I know, in Missouri. I don't get it either but it's true). We also loved their fried artichokes! Both some with a mildly spicy aioli which is fab.” - Samantha K. Read RFT’s food editor Cheryl Baehr’s thoughts here.

Countdown: Number 5
    Kirkwood
    1042 South Kirkwood Road
    Kirkwood, MO 63122
    314-822-4051
This Target opens an hour early (from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m.) for “vulnerable guests.” In these times, that means that the elderly, who are more likely to have serious issues from a COVID-19 infection, can shop more safely without having rude people cough on them. This location is set up a little bit weird and can feel a bit hectic at the checkout counters, but it’s always well stocked. Though it has a busy parking lot, it’s not at all like dealing with the Brentwood parking lot. It also has a T.J. Maxx right next door, so it’s the perfect Target for you if you’re a Target-head and a Maxxinista.
