15 Pitbulls Looking for Love at the Humane Society

DOGtober is a big month at the Humane Society of Missouri: Not only is it Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month, but it's also Pit Bull Awareness Month. Of course, the Humane Society hopes that all dogs will find their fur-ever homes with responsible owners, but right now they're especially focused on pit bulls. It's a breed that's so often misunderstood, but these pups are playful, eager to please and cute as all get-out. Here are 15 pitties (and pit mixes) who're available right now (only a $50 adoption fee all month!) at the Humane Society located at 1201 Macklind Avenue. All photos by Abby Gillardi.
