4th of July Fireworks and Celebrations in the St. Louis Area in 2023

Fair St. Louis is great, but it isn’t the only 4th of July game in town. You can find fantastic fireworks and celebrations across the St. Louis area starting this Friday.

So if you can’t get out to see fireworks on the night of the July 4th, no worries. There are still plenty of fireworks-watching, parade-cheering, hot dog-eating opportunities available for you to enjoy before Tuesday.

WHAT: Fair St. Louis
WHERE: Downtown St. Louis, Missouri
WHEN: July 4
This glorious celebration of all things U.S.A. starts off with America’s Birthday Parade at 10 a.m. and ends with 3,600 pounds of fireworks. In short: You don’t want to miss this one. Fireworks start between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

WHERE: St. Charles, Missouri
WHEN: July 2, 3 and 4
St. Charles is stretching out the party from July 2 all the way through July 4. You can find live music, a carnival, food and craft vendors each day, but if you want fireworks, you’ll have to wait until July 4 at 9:20 p.m.

This parade (one of the most fun in the area) starts rolling at 9:30 a.m. on the 4th, and then after you’re done, you can take the kids by the carnival and midway and get them all sugar-ed up on classic carnival food (funnel cake, cotton candy, corn dogs) so they can stay awake until the fireworks at 9:30 p.m. There will be fireworks on July 3, as well, and they start at 10:15 p.m.
