St. Louis Poetry Center’s signature program, the Sunday poetry workshop, for January 20 will be held 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. at the Regional Arts Commission and will feature as critic Allison Joseph. Free parking in the Pageant and Metrolink lots; Metered parking on Delmar is free on Sundays. Allison Joseph lives in Carbondale, Illinois, where she is Professor of English and Director of the MFA Program in Creative Writing at Southern Illinois University. She serves as poetry editor of Crab Orchard Review. The guest poet critic will lead the workshop and provide critique on a selection of pre-submitted poems. Free

The 100 Boots Poetry Series presents readings by a range of emerging, mid-career, and established poets from St. Louis and across the US. The third event of the season features readings by poets Roger Reeves and Sawako Nakayasu. Limited-edition broadsides, created by artist Sage Dawson, will be available for free, and a selection of the poets’ books are for sale courtesy of Left Bank Books.
