The 100 Boots Poetry Series presents readings by a range of emerging, mid-career, and established poets from St. Louis and across the US. The second event of the season features readings by poets Jen Bervin and Julian Talamantez Brolaski. Limited-edition broadsides, created by artist Sage Dawson, are available for free, and a selection of the poets’ books is for sale courtesy of Left Bank Books. The event is free but guests are encouraged to arrive early due to limited seating. Free

Cedar Lake Cellars, a year-round winery and event venue, will host a trivia night. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the event is held from 7 to 10 p.m. Disc Jockey Debbie Quarternik from Travelin’ Tunes, which specializes in trivia nights, will serve as the evening’s host. The free event includes door prizes and giveaways for guests 21 years of age and older. Teams and individuals are welcome. Free to those 21 years of age and older

Riverbend Public Art

Riverbend, a public art installation, opens at the Gateway Arch National Park September 22, 2-5pm with activity for kids and adults, the Sappington Creek Bluegrass Band and food trucks. The 100-foot-long artwork, made of silver, mirror-like material that references the Arch, shows the navigable Missouri River, highlighting it as the primary means of Westward Expansion and Gateway to the West for Lewis and Clark and many others. Riverbend will represent the confluence with the Mississippi on the east and extend westward. Artist Margaret Keller won the Critical Mass for the Visual Arts Public Works Project commission to create this artwork. Free
