Over the Edge St. Louis

Get the chance to rappel 17 stories down the side of Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch at the 10th Annual “Over the Edge St. Louis” fundraiser. The event will raise money to benefit Special Olympics Missouri’s year-round program of sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Last year’s event raised more than $81,700 for the organization. “Over the Edge St. Louis” is hosted by Law Enforcement Torch Run agencies: St. Louis Country, St. Louis City and Webster Groves Police Departments. Proceeds from the event benefit the 15,494 children and adults with intellectual disabilities that Participants must raise a minimum fundraising goal of $1,000 to rappel.

The Fox Trot 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road off Jeffco Boulevard near the Meramec River. The 5K starts at 9 a.m and the 1-mile at 10 a.m. Entry is $25 for the 5K and $10 for the 1-mile. Proceeds will go to the C-6 Educational Foundation, which awards educational and welfare grants to benefit students throughout the Fox C-6 School District. The Lung Cancer Research Foundation’s St. Louis Free to Breathe Walk will take place on September 29, 2018. The event will include a walk around Creve Coeur Lake, starting Tremayne Shelter. Proceeds from the events benefit the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and its mission to improve lung cancer outcomes by funding research for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of lung cancer.
