Operation Food Search (OFS), a non-profit hunger relief organization, will hold its second annual Party for Packs OFS’ Friends Board, a diverse group of young professionals vested in feeding the community’s hungry, is presenting the event which includes heavy appetizers, a variety of tastings, and music by The Nathan Rauscher Jazz Trio. There will be a silent auction, as well as raffle tickets available for purchase. Proceeds from Party for Packs will support Operation Backpack, which provides weekend meals to food-insecure kids throughout the school year. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Over the Edge St. Louis

Get the chance to rappel 17 stories down the side of Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch at the 10th Annual “Over the Edge St. Louis” fundraiser. The event will raise money to benefit Special Olympics Missouri’s year-round program of sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Last year’s event raised more than $81,700 for the organization. “Over the Edge St. Louis” is hosted by Law Enforcement Torch Run agencies: St. Louis Country, St. Louis City and Webster Groves Police Departments. Proceeds from the event benefit the 15,494 children and adults with intellectual disabilities that Participants must raise a minimum fundraising goal of $1,000 to rappel.

The Fox Trot 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at Arnold City Park on Bradley Beach Road off Jeffco Boulevard near the Meramec River. The 5K starts at 9 a.m and the 1-mile at 10 a.m. Entry is $25 for the 5K and $10 for the 1-mile. Proceeds will go to the C-6 Educational Foundation, which awards educational and welfare grants to benefit students throughout the Fox C-6 School District.
