Operation Food Search (OFS), a non-profit hunger relief organization, will hold its second annual Party for Packs OFS’ Friends Board, a diverse group of young professionals vested in feeding the community’s hungry, is presenting the event which includes heavy appetizers, a variety of tastings, and music by The Nathan Rauscher Jazz Trio. There will be a silent auction, as well as raffle tickets available for purchase. Proceeds from Party for Packs will support Operation Backpack, which provides weekend meals to food-insecure kids throughout the school year. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Cedar Lake Cellars, a year-round winery and event center, will host its eighth annual Fall Fest celebration for those 21 years of age and older. Urban Chestnut Brewing Company’s (UCBC) annual Oktoberfest St. Louis returns for its eighth year at its Midtown Brewery & Biergarten. The three-day festival begins Friday, Sept. 28, and runs through Sunday, Sept. 30. The theme for this year’s celebration is From Biergarten to Big Top. The free-to-attend festival will feature a full lineup of rock, blues, polka and oompah-thumping music on two stages as well as performances throughout the festival by members of Circus Flora.
