If you like live music, giving to charity, pretending you’re at a Luau and not in St. Louis and enjoying an all-you-can-eat buffet, Salt + Smoke is hosting a Luau-themed Whole Hog Roast on September 19. From 5-9pm, see how much you can eat at our buffet while listening to live music. There will be a raffle drawing every hour, so you’ll want to make sure you enter or, you know, you won’t win anything. Raffle and 10% of dinner sales benefit Bishop de Bourg High School.

Operation Food Search (OFS), a non-profit hunger relief organization, will hold its second annual Party for Packs OFS’ Friends Board, a diverse group of young professionals vested in feeding the community’s hungry, is presenting the event which includes heavy appetizers, a variety of tastings, and music by The Nathan Rauscher Jazz Trio. There will be a silent auction, as well as raffle tickets available for purchase. Proceeds from Party for Packs will support Operation Backpack, which provides weekend meals to food-insecure kids throughout the school year. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

The Lake St. Louis BeerFest at The Meadows takes place Saturday, September 22nd from 3-7pm. Sponsored by Krey Distributing, the event will have 11 sampling tents of craft and domestic beers from area-wide beer makers. Beer sampling is free. Patrons must be 21+ to sample or purchase beer. Cedar Lake Cellars presents the 13th annual Pyromania – one of the only pyrotechnic competitions in the U.S. today. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the fireworks show begins at 7:30 p.m. The nation’s top fireworks choreographers gather at Pyromania to showcase their pyromusicals or “concerts in the sky”, which are artistic combinations of music and pyrotechnics. Known as the largest show in the Midwest, Pyromania proceeds benefit The BackStoppers, Inc. General admission is $10 in advance, $15 the day of the event, and children ages five and under are free. VIP admission is $65 in advance and $80 the day of the event.
