Olivette’s 4th Annual 5K Turkey Trot is a chip timed event!This family friendly 5k run/walk course starts and ends at Stacy Park, down scenic Old Bonhomme Road and then through a paved tree lined path. Soulard is the oldest surviving, active and walkable neighborhood west of the Mississippi river. It’s full of beautifully restored 19th century red brick Victorian homes and Federal-style townhouses, dating from the mid to late 1800s. During the tour, guests will travel between featured homes on a heated shuttle as local guides regale attendees with facts and stories about Soulard’s architecture, history and tight knit resident community. Guests will also get to meet with homeowners and hear first-hand accounts of restoration efforts, as well as what it’s like to live in a historic Soulard home today. $25-$30

The Hanukkah Celebration, emceed by Rabbi Yaakov Green Headmaster of HF Epstein Hebrew Academy, features Hanukkah storytelling with master educator Mrs. Jackie Oppenheimer, and Hanukkah songs. The event will also feature STEAM games and crafts. All children will receive a free gift of traditional Hanukkah chocolate “gelt” (gold coins). Hanukkah begins the evening of December 12 and is an eight-day celebration of the Festival of Lights commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple.
