Seth Brand is a top Americana artist from St. Louis, now residing in Asheville, NC. Brand, along with his wife Sara, on percussion, performs stunning, heartfelt music with a raw passion that delivers a moving experience for fans that is everything from jubilant Rock to the sweet despair and heartbreak of Country/Blues songs. Focal Point Friends of Traditional Jazz, Blues & Ragtime Present: The Bailsman Fun and upbeat, Brooklyn’s The Bailsmen play Hot Jazz and Gypsy Swing. Their sound is straight from New York by way of New Orleans and Paris, nodding to Django Reinhardt, Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong, and Duke Ellington. Schola Antiqua of Chicago is a professional early music ensemble dedicated to the performance of repertory before the year 1600. An ensemble that executes pre-modern music with “sensitivity and style” (Early Music America), Schola Antiqua takes pride in providing the highest standards of performance, research, and education as it highlights underserved repertories from this period. Founded in 2000, the organization has received invitations to perform from museums, libraries, festivals, universities, and other institutions across the country. The ensemble is currently Artist-in-Residence at the Lumen Christi Institute and formerly a resident artist at the University of Chicago. $19-$42
