The Biz Dash 5K presented by World Wide Technology returns to Downtown St. Louis at Soldiers Memorial on Thursday, September 27, 2018! The Lung Cancer Research Foundation’s St. Louis Free to Breathe Walk will take place on September 29, 2018. The event will include a walk around Creve Coeur Lake, starting Tremayne Shelter. Proceeds from the events benefit the Lung Cancer Research Foundation and its mission to improve lung cancer outcomes by funding research for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of lung cancer. Operation Food Search (OFS), a non-profit hunger relief organization, will host its 25th annual golf tournament presented by Ascension Health with registration beginning at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at noon. Tickets – which are $300 per golfer or $1,200 per team of four golfers – include 18 holes with golf cart, golf goodie bag, lunch and dinner. A live and silent auction will be held during the barbecue dinner starting at 5 p.m. Proceeds will go toward ending childhood hunger and family food insecurity in the St. Louis bi-state region. $300 per golfer and $1,200 per team of four golfers

The Missouri Wine Wobble will hold its first Wine & Whiskey run. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. for those 21 years of age and older. Participants can chose to run in the 1k, 5k or both races combined. The 5k starts at 3 p.m., and the 1k at 4:45 p.m. An after-race party with music provided by one of the area’s top DJs will take place from 6 to 10 p.m. The race is timed for those in the 5k run. Prizes will be awarded to the top three fastest runners, as well as for best race costumes. Tickets range from $35 to $70 for the 1k and 5k, and $50 to $85 for both races.

Registration is now open! The Veterans Day 5K, presented by The Gatesworth, includes a timed 5K, One-Mile Fun-Run and free Kids’ Dash. It is a family-friendly event to honor and celebrate those who have served and are serving our country. 20% of St. Patrick Center’s clients are veterans and proceeds from the event benefit these clients and their families. Soldiers Memorial will re-open on November 3 after a $30 million renovation.
