As part of its annual celebration of Chinese New Year, the St Louis Chinese community welcomes professional singers, dancers and acrobats from Guangdong, China. The theme is “harmony and prosperity,” as the hosting organizations hope to emphasize the unique role of arts in promoting cultural understanding, and the need for more opportunities that facilitate dialogs of economic exchanges and prosperity. Among the lineup of performers are the region's best acrobats, an esteemed pipa (a traditional Chinese music instrument) performer, and award-winning dancers. On Saturday, March 3rd, Community Living Inc. will host its 18th annual Legacy Ball. The gala event, which also will be a celebration of the organization’s 40th anniversary, will feature a four-course wine dinner, oral and silent auctions, live music, and several surprises. Special guests for the event include this year’s honorees, Richard A. Leach and Dave Bazzell. These two St. Charles leaders will be awarded for their dedicated service to people with disabilities. All proceeds of the event will go to support the over 1,000 St. Charles County residents living with disabilities. Starting at $125
