On Saturday, August 4, 2018, The Alpha Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will host the Annual “Midwest Marchdown” Scholarship Step Show at Harris-Stowe State University. Since 1981, the Midwest Marchdown has served as a scholarship step competition that celebrates the traditions of historically Black Greek Letter Organizations and collegiate scholarships. Proceeds from this annual event help fund scholarships for two deserving high school students from the St. Louis area, as well as funding for the two winning organizations. General Admission - $15; VIP/Combo - $25

Dance St. Louis kicks off its 2018-19 season with Wewolf at the renovated, historic Grandel Theatre in the Grand Center Arts District. Experience a fusion of hip-hop, breakdancing, contemporary dance and contortion like you’ve never seen before from the LA-based company of international artists. RubberLegz and James Gregg are renowned choreographers and seasoned dancers that have joined forces in creating Wewolf, a company which is focused on creating and working on different projects that brings their methods of dance and visual arts together. $30-$40

Tianjin Normal University (TNU), founded in 1958, offers programs at various levels and in many disciplines. The College of Music and Film is one of 23 colleges at TNU, with 1600 undergraduate students and over 100 teaching staff. The college offers programs in dance, music, and performing arts. The College’s student performers have won many competitions in China, including the National Music Golden Bell Awards, the National Dance Lotus Awards, the National Youth Singers TV Competition, and the National College Students Dance Performance, among others. $20
