Improvisation is the act of creating something unplanned—requiring imagination, spontaneity and creativity whether you’re on stage or in the kitchen. In this hands-on workshop, we practice theatre games and exercises with improv extraordinaire Ed Reggi. COCAPlay is a free program designed to help your little ones stretch their creative muscles. Children open a magic trunk and jump start pretend play as they are immersed in the surprise props and costumes inside. Using movement and dramatic play, they invent characters and adventures to fill the morning as they read stories such as Margo’s Magic Trunk to inspire an interest theatre and movement. Operation Food Search's Shop Out Hunger Day

Operation Food Search (OFS), a non-profit hunger relief organization, will host its 9th annual Shop Out Hunger Day. The region-wide food drive is held to restock the shelves of both its distribution center located at 1644 Lotsie Blvd. and its 220 community partner agencies. Volunteers will be staffed outside of more than 140 locally owned grocery stores – including Dierbergs, Schnucks, and Straub’s – collecting non-perishable food items and donations that will stay in each store’s community. OFS teams up with numerous community partners including Franklin County Hunger Task Force, Jefferson County Hunger Task Force, and more. 314-726-5355

Operation Food Search's Party for Packs

Operation Food Search (OFS), a non-profit hunger relief organization, will hold its third annual Party for Packs. OFS’s Friends Board, a diverse group of young professionals vested in feeding the community’s hungry, is presenting the event which features a variety of local food and drink tastings. There will be a silent auction, as well as raffle tickets available for purchase. Proceeds from Party for Packs will support Operation Backpack, which provides weekend meals to food-insecure kids throughout the year. 314-726-5355
