Operation Food Search (OFS), a non-profit hunger relief organization, will host Handbags to End Hunger (formerly known as Purses for Pantries) for the fifth consecutive year. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for the silent auction followed by a luncheon at noon and a live auction at 1 p.m. Both the silent and live auction will feature a variety of designer and designer-inspired handbags, evening clutches, vintage pocketbooks, totes, carryalls and more. Auction items also include restaurant and spa gift certificates, as well as jewelry. $50 per person

Pearls with a Purpose Empowerment Conference

The Pearl Club, a national nonprofit organization that has a mission to educate, empower, and support young women to overcome poverty will hold its’ first St. Louis Empowerment Conference for high school aged young women. The Empowerment Conference is one of The Pearl Club’s signature events for high school young women. About 100 students will spend the day in workshops learning from established professionals about topics chosen specifically to educate, empower and enrich them to more easily navigate womanhood, college, and their early career years. Volunteers are needed and more information can be found at the website listed.
