Songs4Soldiers 5th Annual Benefit concert will be a two day event this year! On Friday, September 22nd, join us for Bret Micheals with a special guest and local band, Dazed n Confused STL. This event is handicap accessible and an all-ages show. Blankets are allowed, but no lawn chairs. Saturday, September, 23rd, will host SuperJam, Joe Dirt and the Dirty Boys, Dazed n Confused STL, Where’s Charlie?, PettyCash Junction, Dave Glover Band and ClusterPluck. The Saturday event also includes fireworks and a Kids Zone. Lawn chairs are permitted for Saturday. No outside food or drink. No pets. Friday $30 general admission, Saturday $10 general admission

LADAMA; a cross-cultural, Pan-American musical collaboration

LADAMA is an ensemble of women musicians from across the Americas who, as well as performing as a touring band, strive to engage youth in their respective communities in the process of music-making, dancing, composition and audio production through collaboration and performance workshops. They are Mafer Bandola (bandola llanera), Lara Klaus (percussion, drums), Daniela Serna (percussion) and Sara Lucas (voice, guitar). Together they combine the rhythms and traditional instrumentation of frevo and maracatu from Pernambuco, Brazil; joropo songs from the high plains of Venezuela; cumbia, gaita and champeta from the Colombian coast and contemporary strains of American pop and jazz. $15 - Adult $12 – WU Fac/Staff, seniors, students (non-WU) $8 - Youth ages 10-17 FREE – WU Students (limit 1 per ID) and children under 10 years old
