St. Charles Community College will display the finest examples of student artwork created in SCC art classes during the 2017-18 school year at the Juried Student Art Exhibition April 16-29. All types of media will be represented including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, 2D design, printmaking, graphic design and ceramics. This year’s juror is artist and educator Andrew Brandmeyer. Andrew is a painter with an MFA from Fontbonne University. He currently teaches at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. The SCC Juried Student Art Exhibition runs from April 16-29. The opening reception is from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 16. Free

St. Charles Community College’s Center Stage Theatre will present Almost, Maine April 18-22 in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building theater on the SCC campus. The show will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, April 18-21; 10 a.m. Thursday, April 19; and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22. Tickets are free to SCC students with ID, $8 for general admission, $6 for seniors, veterans and students. The campus is located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville. Allies for Inclusion: The Ability Exhibit will be held at St. Charles Community College from 1-6:30 p.m. Monday, April 23, and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, April 24-25, in the Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences Building auditorium located on SCC’s campus in Cottleville. This is the first time the exhibit will be on display in St. Charles County. Allies for Inclusion: The Ability Exhibit is a traveling exhibit designed to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities through respect for others, comfort during interactions and awareness of disability issues.
