The Foundry Art Centre is excited to present “Ceramic Centric”, a juried exhibition of thirty-three ceramic artists from twelve states, to the community this April 12, 2019. Local Artist and owner of The Reese Gallery, Ruth Reese, curated this exhibition that explores modern interpretations of the ceramic medium. Sculptural and utilitarian pieces alike will both amuse and awe viewers. Going Solo Award Winner from 2017 exhibition “Context II”, Elizabeth Conn, will be exhibiting her papier-mache sculptures in Gallery III. In the Ameristar Gallery, the Foundry Art Centre Studio Artists will have an exhibition of their artwork. Free

The Foundry Art Centre is excited to present “Putting It Together 2: The Art of Assembling” to the community this May 31, 2019. This exhibition promises to be as much a collage of diverse artists as it is a collection of collage artworks. It includes forty-one artists from sixteen states, Belgium, Lithuania, and Canada. Susan Campbell, an interdisciplinary artist from Ontario, Canada will exhibit “We Made (Pretend) Plans” in which she “considers the ways that urban environments are manipulated and shaped". California based Emerging Artist, Holly Boruck, will exhibit her body of work entitled “Zeitgeist Portraits” in the Ameristar Gallery. Opening reception from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 31.

Guardian Angel Settlement Association’s Annual Golf Classic, celebrating its 25th year, will be held on Monday, June 10 at Persimmon Woods Golf Club. A noon shotgun start will kick the day off for golfers of all handicaps competing for prizes and enjoying food, drinks and fun on the course. All proceeds from the Annual Golf Classic support Guardian Angel’s Early Childhood Education and Social Service programs, providing a hand-up, not a hand-out to nearly 2,000 families in the St. Louis area faced with issues such as hunger, rising housing costs, school readiness and more. 350
