This brick-and-mortar eatery builds on Burger, INK’s brand of amped-up burgers and fries, offering what owner Josh Lemmon describes as “upscale dive grub.” Condiments abound at the Tattooed Dog; specialty burgers include the “Dubliner,” topped with Guinness braised onions, white cheddar cheese and garlic aioli, the “Maui,” a sweet and spicy beast topped with grilled pineapple, white American cheese and teriyaki wasabi glaze, and the “Perzola,” a burger topped with poached pears, spring mix and Gorgonzola cream sauce. The “Hot Chicken Pancake,” a take on the chicken-and-waffles trend, is fried chicken slathered in spicy aioli and then sandwiched between two apple pancakes. The Tattooed Dog also amps up humble spuds with a variety of “loaded” fries, including the classic chili-cheese or Buffalo chicken style. And don’t miss the signature blueberry roll up, a deep-fried, tortilla-wrapped blueberry cheesecake. It’s a bit much, but, like the rest of the Tattooed Dog, that’s the point.
