Laclede Street Bar & Grill

Practically a part of the Saint Louis University campus, Laclede Street Bar & Grill is located across from the southern arm of the Student Village Apartments in a former bowling alley. Menu highlights include fried pickles or Bosco sticks, buffalo chicken pizza and the hickory burger, grilled ground beef with barbecue sauce, bacon and fixings served on a ciabatta bun. With a spacious patio and a full-size sand-volleyball court, Laclede Street also offers daily blue-plate specials, such as lasagna, steak and fried chicken. The daily happy hour (4-7 p.m.), with its two-for-one drinks and appetizers, has become a midtown tradition. The adventurous should drop by after midnight, when the dance floor hits full capacity.
