Gimme A Break

Hey, ladies. Ms. Day wants to know what's going on in your life right now. Is your special someone giving you the cold shoulder? Are you about ready to sing "Take This Job and Shove It"? Is your puppy dog making a chew toy out of your new sofa? Do you just need a break from it all? Third Degree Glass Factory (5200 Delmar Boulevard; 314-367-4527 or www.thirddegreeglassfactory.com) has just the thing to calm your nerves and put you back in a happier frame of mind (if only temporarily). Cool Chicks & Hot Glass: Girls Night Out Wednesday provides women with a free evening of bonding, glass art and more. To participate, just head down to Third Degree between 6 and 9 p.m. for a bang trim, thanks to Kensey from Lemon Spalon, a spin around the courtyard on a Segway (it's way fun, trust), samples of delightfully delicious chocolates from Kakao and the opportunity to make a glass bead, paperweight or glass tile ($20 to $30). Ms. Day's made a paperweight at Third Degree before, and she can tell you that the process is hot, cool and worth the cost — especially because it's something that that ol' mutt of yours can't destroy!
