Good Night, Sweet Prince

So a real estate agent, Rock Hudson and the bubonic plague walk into a bar — and they're all one person. A Lullaby for Ryan: The History of HIV/AIDS in America, the one-man musical comedy written by and starring Jade Esteban Estrada, features the aforementioned characters in addition to an HIV-positive cowboy and a single mother. Estrada examines how America has been changed by the AIDS crisis by exploring who has been changed by the AIDS crisis — and as you can tell from the roster of characters, there are a few people you may not expect. Estrada performs his show at 7 p.m. at Urban Eats Café (3301 Meramec Street; 314-280-1035 or www.urbaneatscafe.com/tickets) under the auspices of Ragged Blade. Tickets are $12 to $15, and a portion of the proceeds go to the St. Louis LGBT Center.
