The ideal holiday-week activity for kids involves getting them out of the house and burning lots of energy — the more tired the kid is when he comes back, the less likely it is you'll have to hear "I'm bored." Hardee's Iceplex (16851 North Outer Forty Drive, Chesterfield; 636-537-4200 or www.hardeesiceplex.com) provides four days of outta-the-house, drain-the-energy-from-your-kids activities with its Winter Festival. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday (December 28 through 31), the Iceplex offers discounts on admission and raffles, plus all the ice-skating your kids can handle. Monday, for example, is Random Act of Kindness Day, a fundraiser for Dollar-Help that includes a visit from Radio Disney. Three hours of ice-skating plus a little charitable action is good for kids and good for parents. Regular admission is $5 per person, and skate rental is free.
