Oktoberfest, the Natural Way

Not to be outdone by Town & Country's gleaming Whole Foods mega store, which opened its spacious aisles this summer, St. Louis' original Whole Foods Market (1601 South Brentwood Boulevard, Brentwood; www.wholefoodsmarket.com) is gearing up to show off its natural German pride. The organic grocer will be condensing the spirit of Oktoberfest, Munich's sixteen-day beer and brat party, into a potent hour-and-a-half snapshot called Das Bier Von Oktoberfest, held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Hosted by resident beer specialist Andy Snead, the $20 session highlights authentic and domestic interpretations of German brews plus brats — and it also will probably set the scene for some lively discussions.
