Doggone Good Time

Come park, then bark

Will Rogers once said, "I love a dog. He does nothing for political reasons." If primary-season fatigue has taken over your life, it's time to let the robo-callers go to voicemail and do something with our four-legged friends instead. Head over to Cricket Field in Forest Park today for the Humane Society's annual Bark in the Park, a walk and festival that raises money for veterinary care for homeless animals. Bark in the Park runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes a food court, live music, dog stunts by the Purina Incredible Dog Team, an inflatable fun area for the kids, pet contests and more. The 1-mile walk begins at 11 a.m., and leashed dogs with up-to-date vaccinations are welcome at Bark in the Park. Admission is $25 for adults and $5 for children. For more information, to register online or make a donation, visit www.hsmo.org/bark or call 314-951-1501.
