Fever All Through the Night

It seems like practically everything in St. Louis is family-oriented, especially in the summertime, and we understand why. Most people here feel that they must, must, must be married and have kids as soon as possible (like, by the age of 24). But there are a few of us non-family types still milling about, and we're interested in having a good time someplace where your kids aren't (no offense; we're sure they're as sweet as strawberry pie), so we'll be at the Sexy Summer Soirée. This sassed-up event, which happens at the Bistro at Grand Center (3536 Washington Boulevard), begins with a cocktail party in Strauss Park outside the restaurant/club at 7 p.m. Then, when the party moves inside at 9 p.m., the tarted-up girls from Belle of the Ball dance production company put on quite a sexy song-and-dance show, including performances of hot classics like "Fever" and "All That Jazz." Tickets for this grownup soirée cost $20 to $60 and are available through MetroTix (314-534-1111 or www.metrotix.com); for more information about the Belles, visit www.belleoftheballstl.com.
