Write of Passage

Writers who work for a publication such as this one get advice from folks all the time (some good, some...well...). But what about all of the scribes out there who don’t have a public forum and just want to share their words with the world -- or at least a small audience? These people should go to Chesterfield Arts (444 Chesterfield Center, Chesterfield) at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday (May 1 through 3) for the first events hosted by the brand-new Chesterfield Writers Guild. Share a work of your own, and get the desired feedback from your peers during these roundtable-style sessions, which focus on a single type of writing each evening: first poetry, then fiction, then creative non-fiction. (And if you’re a little shy, you can just bring along a piece by someone you like.) For more information on the free sessions, call 636-519-1955 or visit www.chesterfieldarts.org.
