Bully For Kids

In the ongoing competition between man and bull, the advantage is decidedly bovine. Those bulls stampeding down the streets of Pamplona? They're not doing it for their health; they're angry and startled and wouldn't mind knocking down a few bipeds. But here's some good news: Thanks to Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis (3750 Washington Boulevard), you can experience all the fun of the running of the bulls, without the transatlantic plane ticket or the terror. The Running of the Bulls Family Day Fun Run gets started at 12:30 p.m. today at the museum. Lace up those sneakers and run a brief route on Washington and take part in creative activities along the way. As a nod to CAM's soon-to-open Francisco Goya exhibit, Cryptic, costumed bulls will pursue runners (in a friendly way, promise) as they head for the finish line. Once you've finished the fun run, catch some live music, purchase sweets from one of the many dessert trucks or head into the museum for additional activities. For more information about the free event, call 314-535-0770, extension 221, or visit www.camstl.org.
