Get Served!

On Thursday, August 18, more than 100 local celebrities will be milling about Plaza Frontenac (1701 South Lindbergh Boulevard, Frontenac; 314-292-5770 or www.crisisnurserykids.org) when the popular Saint Louis Crisis Nursery's Celebrity Waitresses' & Waiters' Night returns to the mall for the third year. Beginning at 5 p.m., famous faces will earn tips while working tables at Cardwell's, Brio Tuscan Grill, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Canyon Cafe. All the tips earned will be used to support the Crisis Nursery and its 24/7 nurseries and child abuse prevention programs. Celebrities donating their services to this event include KMOV-TV news anchors Larry Conners, Jasmine Huda, Claire Kellet; KSDK-TV news reporters Kelly Jackson, Ryan Dean and Heidi Glaus; local mayors Keith Krieg and Paul Lambi; St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnists Deb Peterson, Evan Benn and Bernie Miklasz; and sports alumnus John Costello and Tony Twist, among many others. All tips are considered tax-deductible and will benefit Crisis Nursery. There is no entry fee or minimum purchase to participate, but reservations are required. Call Cardwell's at 314-997-8885 or Canyon Cafe at 314-872-3443 to hold your table.
