Here Comes Santas

If you're looking for a break from the massive crowds, congested parking, and all the rest of the usual holiday hubbub, point that hybrid sleigh in a westward direction and partake of old town St. Charles' Christmas Traditions celebration. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. Friday, November 25, at the gazebo at 400 South Main Street with an official opening ceremony featuring appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Lewis & Clark Fife & Drums Corps and the characters of the Legends of Christmas. The Yuletide party lasts until 9 p.m., and St. Charles' official Christmas tree will be lit in a ceremony taking place at 5 p.m. in Berthold Square (the 200 block of South Main Street, St. Charles). St. Charles Christmas Traditions is open to the public Friday through Sunday through Saturday, December 24. Visit www.stcharleschristmas.com for further details.
