Swap and Save

OK, so maybe your goal of becoming the best baker this side of the Mississippi is waning. You struggle with over-baking, you're terrible about under-baking, and that last round of cupcakes turned out more like cupquakes, so earth-shatteringly heavy were they. We aren't ones to quash dreams, but maybe you should stop torturing yourself, rid your cupboard of those dessert digests and cake compendiums, and affordably replace them with cookbooks you'll actually enjoy using. The Young Literati Cookbook Swap can help you with this task. Held at the Schlafly Tap Room (2100 Locust Street), this event provides an opportunity to trade out your unused, unwanted books for those of another swapper. To further sweeten the evening, there will be delicious Schlafly beer and appetizers served up -- fun! The swap happens from 6 to 8 p.m., and bringing along a cookbook to trade is not required, just suggested.
