Police say a pair of armed men forced their way into a home in the 3800 block of Potomac Avenue Saturday afternoon and robbed the resident. He called police at 2 p.m. to report that his cell phone and some cash were stolen.
He also told police that as the pair were fleeing, he fired three shots at them.
It appears he scored a hit with at least one of those shots.
Some time later, police received a report of an injured man in the alley of the 3800 block of Fairview Avenue, one block north of the home invasion. The man, 28, was ID'd as a suspect in the home invasion and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. He's listed in critical condition.
No charges have been filed against him at this time, and there's no word on his possible companion.
