Domenik Hixon's "Circus Catch" Frame By Frame

Domenik Hixon makes a heck of a grab at the end of the first half to put the Giants up 21-6. They'd go on to beat the Rams 28-16.

It's been five years since the St. Louis Rams were last on Monday Night Football. Following yesterday's performance, it might be five more until the team makes it back to the bright lights.

The beginning of the end for the lackluster Rams last night came with 21 seconds left in the first half when New York Giants' quarterback Eli Manning connected with Domenik Hixon for what is likely the most acrobatic catch of the young season and reminiscent of David Tyree's haul in the 2008 Superbowl. (What is it with Giants' receivers and incredible lucky catches anyway?)

Anyway, below is Hixon's grab from last night -- frame by frame -- as it bounces off his shoulder pads and is bobbled twice with one hand before Hixon manages to reel it in in the end zone. Rams' safety Craig Dahl should receive a nomination for best-supporting actor at next year's ESPYS.
