St. Louis police say an investigation into a weekend stabbing is ongoing -- but our guess is it's not likely to go very far.
That's because the victim, a 57-year-old man, doesn't remember where he was or who might have assaulted him. In fact, he didn't even realize he was stabbed until his sister found him sitting on the front porch of their residence -- intoxicated and with lacerations.
How serious were his injuries?
Apparently not serious enough for him to notice, though it depends on how intoxicated he might have been.
Police say that the victim's sister found him sitting down at their place on the 3100 block of Henrietta Street.
"She advised her brother to come inside and lay down because he was intoxicated. When he took off his jacket and shirt, she observed three lacerations to the victim's chest, neck and back," police say. "The victim was very intoxicated and unaware he was stabbed."
Because of this intoxication, the victim was not able to provide any details of the incident; he offered so little information that "a scene could not be located," police say.
He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of the lacerations.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor lacerations. The investigation is ongoing.
