UPDATE 1:31 p.m.: Yet another bedroom break-in to report. Police in Cahokia say a 51-year-old woman was shot in the leg around 4 a.m. Tuesday by an unknown intruder. The Post-Dispatch reports that "she had been asleep in her bedroom with her boyfriend when a man kicked in her bedroom door, ordered her to 'lay back down' and shot her in the leg."
After a series of late night break-ins, police in O'Fallon, Illinois are warning the public that, "burglars may be planning to sneak in while you sleep."
And, yesterday in north St. Louis, two bumbling teenage crooks shot a 49-year-old woman in the leg after they crawled into her house through the bedroom window.
Climbing in windows? Snatching people up? Hide your wife, hide your kids, and call Antoine Dodson pronto because there have been some truly dumb perps in the greater St. Louis area lately.
