Jermaine McDaniels, 30, and another man were sitting in a car in the 6300 block of Stratford near Goodfellow Boulevard yesterday evening around 7:30 p.m. when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and suspects inside the vehicle began firing.

McDaniels was shot multiple times and pronounced dead on the scene. His
acquaintance seated alongside him in the car -- identified only as a
24-year-old male -- suffered bullet wounds to the head, chest, neck and
arm and underwent surgery at a nearby hospital. No word on his
condition.
An investigation is ongoing. Police urge anyone
