Two Men Found Dead In University City Apartment, Police Suspect Foul Play

Hours before four people were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide on Cherokee Street yesterday afternoon, police in University City responded to a residence and also made a horrible discovery: Two men were dead inside an apartment, and while there are few details so far, police officials say they do suspect some sort of foul play.

Police responded in the morning to the 800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue around 10 a.m. They were going to check up on a 59-year-old man who had not shown up to work after a representative from his company apparently asked police to make sure he was OK.

When they arrived they found this man and another 77-year-old man both dead inside an apartment on the second floor, police say.

As of this writing, there appear to be few other details, but police do believe they were "victims of foul play." It's unclear at this time, however, how they died.

Both men lived at that location for a long period of time. One lived on the first floor and the other lived on the second floor, cops say.
