He's an investor in the AM talker KTRS (550 AM), but in this week's Sports Illustrated John Goodman gave a plug to the competition -- KMOX (1120 AM).

In an interview about the twentieth anniversary of his role in Babe, Goodman (Affton High School c/o 1970) discussed his stint as a walk-on offensive lineman at Southwest Missouri (now Missouri State). "I was too damn lazy. And too damn slow," he recalled. "I was better suited for the theater department."

But it was the actor's memory of last year's World Series  that truly showed off his St. Louis bona fides.

"I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about it," said Goodman when asked about the Cardinals epic run in 2011. "I was in New Orleans, but I remember driving around and trying to pick up KMOX and listen to the games on the radio. I have such wonderful memories of summer nights with Jack Buck and Harry Caray on the radio, the old guys are sitting around the driveways all over the neighborhood with a few cold longneck Budweisers. It don't get no better than that."

No it don't. We got a few Budweisers on ice for ya, John. Come back home.
