St. Louis Police: Teen with Shotgun Chases Acquaintance Through Neighborhood

A seventeen-year-old boy was walking south on Academy near Kensington (above) around 7:30 p.m. last night when he ran across an eighteen-year-old suspect armed with a shotgun. According to St. Louis police, the two know each other, and apparently they don't get along.

Police say the eighteen-year-old, described only as a black male, began chasing the other younger teen down the street while firing from a shotgun. Several of the shotgun pellets landed their mark before the the victim was able to run into a family member's home in the 5100 block of Delmar. That's two blocks from where the chase and shootings began.

The victim is now in a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police have the eighteen-year-old suspect in custody. His name will be release once warrants are issued.
