Police in Maryland Heights are on the lookout for the "feces bandit" -- a suspect accused of spreading human excrement in Wesport Plaza bathrooms. The bandit has also been leaving his (or her) "trail" on vending machines on college campuses.

Terry Sedlacek, the man charged with gunning down the Rev. Fred Winters during a church service Sunday in Maryville, pleaded "not guilty" yesterday to charges of murder and aggravated battery.

Radio station KTRS reports that St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCullough has turned down an offer to replace Catherine Hanaway as the U.S. Attorney for Eastern Missouri.

In sports, Anhueser-Busch InBev says it will give its Fenton soccer complex to Jeff Cooper, the East Alton attorney who's trying to get a Major League Soccer expansion team to the St. Louis region. Cooper had proposed a stadium in Collinsville, Illinois, but has yet to secure financing for such project.
