Sunday's New York Times had a front-page story on Talx, a company headquartered near Westport Plaza that helps other companies -- including many in the Fortune 500 -- challenge unemployment claims. Talx's service can save firms money because if fewer former employees collect jobless benefits, the firms pay less in unemployment taxes.
