Steven Rivers: St. Louis Homicide No. 78, Executed in Van By Masked Suspect

Steven Rivers, 35, was sitting in a van around 9:30 p.m. last night in the 4700 block of Leduc (below) in north St. Louis when he was shot multiple times at close range.

According to St. Louis police, witnesses saw a black male with a bandana covering his face approach the vehicle, open the door and fire several shots. Rivers, of the nearby neighborhood of 4500 Aldine, was pronounced dead a the scene.
